The Shake-Out Lounge

Whether you need a place to unwind on a cold, wet, evening, or a cheerful spot to work during the day, you’ll find the Shake-Out Lounge a great addition to Lago Linda.

Adjacent to the pavilion, the lounge has plenty of table space, outlets, and free WiFi so that climbers can catch up on emails and be productive on their rest days.

You can also watch a movie or the current sporting event on TV, gather with friends on the sofas, borrow a book off the shelf, or just go in to warm up and charge your devices.

The Shake-Out Lounge provides a cozy backdrop for any downtime activity.

Pavilion

On any given night at Lago Linda’s, you’ll find the pavilion bustling with activity. The covered outdoor pavilion is the social center of Lago Linda Hideaway, where tent campers gather around picnic tables to cook their meals and share stories about the day’s adventures.

A nearby fire ring often provides warmth and more camaraderie on cold, crisp evenings. Considerately, the pavilion is set a good distance away from the two main camping areas and far from the cabins, allowing for campers/lodgers who want to go to sleep early to do so undisturbed by noise.

Next to the bathhouse, the Country Café offers a warm, dry place to hang out during inclement weather. It’s not unusual to find campers inside chatting, working on their laptops, watching a movie, playing the Wii, or just enjoying a home-cooked meal in the comfort of this cute and cozy setting.

In nicer weather, campers often kick back in the comfy wooden seats on the porch to chat or work on their computers.

Trails & Wildlife

For the nature lover, Lago Linda Hideaway provides ample opportunity for exploration and enjoyment.

Hiking trails, named for our neighbors and friends, traverse about 15 miles on our 410 acres of wooded land. Discover our waterfall “over the hill” on foot or on trail bike. Birders, wildlife enthusiasts, and photographers are welcome.

Rock climbers headed for the Red River Gorge can also find maps and climbing information posted in our café.

Our guests may swim and fish in our lake (no license needed), but we do not allow hunting on our property.
